Why bother, when paper works
Saved in one tap

Change jobs without reprinting

Static vCard or hosted card?
A static vCard QR encodes your details into the pattern itself. It needs no service behind it and works with no internet at all, which is genuinely useful at a trade show where the venue wifi has collapsed. What it cannot do is change or be counted.
A hosted card puts a page in between. You lose the offline guarantee and you gain the two things that matter over a career: you can change your details after the cards are printed, and you can see whether anyone saved you.

Printing it properly
Put the QR on the back, at least 2cm across, with white space around it. A code pushed into a corner next to your logo is a code nobody scans.
Add three words next to it — “Scan to save” is enough. A bare square does not tell anyone what happens, and people do not scan things when they cannot predict the result. Design the code itself in the QR editor so it matches the card rather than fighting it.
